New Year begins with Spring
And the hope a pale petal may bring.
Blossom and bud,
Soil and seed,
First warm zephyr from Winter freed,
Primrose yellow, primrose bright,
Bathe my world in fresh Spring light!

Kitchen table, heart of my home,
Dusted with flour, speckled with loam.
Blossom and bud,

Pot up a Season in earthenware,
The warm breath of hope pervades the air.
